Methods of Voting

In the State of Florida you have a choice of three ways to vote:

1. Vote-by-Mail: Traditionally called Absentee Voting, in the State of Florida it is available to all residents. Vote-by-Mail allows you to skip the traditional waiting in lines that many voters encounter. You can register for Vote-by-Mail at, under the forms tab; you can call the Elections Office at 239-LEE-VOTE (239-533-8683); or you can go to 1021 SE 9th Place, Suite 3, Cape Coral. Your Ballot will then be mailed to you approximately 3 weeks prior to election. (Please note: If you decide you want to go to the polls, you must take your ballot with you to have it voided.)

2.  Early Voting:  You can go to any designated sites and vote early.  Early voting generally starts 10 day prior to Election Day and ends the Saturday before.  Dates are announced well in advance or you can go to the site for the information.

3. Election Day: You can still vote on Election Day. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Voters in line as of 9 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
